Rihanna twirling the streets of Cuba without a single care is totally us.
If you tuned in to Monday night's (August 20) 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, you may have noticed a certain Barbadian goddess was absent for the festivities. Well, it turns out the 30-year-old singer ditched the annual music event to treat the courts of Havana like her own dancefloor, as per a video the "Work" artist shared to her Instagram page yesterday.
"do-ya-luh-me-too-? 🇨🇺" read the caption for the clip, which shows Rihanna decked head-to-toe in a blonde dress as she whirls to the rhythms of Childish Gambino's sun-kissed smash "Summertime Magic" in a near-empty courtyard.
Hilariously, locals didn't seem to notice a superstar was amongst them — and putting on a free performance, no less!
Crowded venue or international getaway? It's a no-brainer decision.
However, as observed from a recent snap of Rih and Gambino on the island that surfaced online last week, the Grammy winner's foreign jaunt may have actually been a business trip.
With the Anti songbird's forthcoming album on the way, the pic led fans to believe the pair were teaming up on a track for her record. Though previous reports suggest it's more likely the industry faves are both filming scenes in Cuba for a movie called Guava Island, supposedly being directed by Gambino's longtime friend, Hiro Murai.
