Wendy Williams said some shady things about Mary-Kate Olsen’s messy divorce.
During Friday’s broadcast (May 15) of Wendy @ Home, the talk show host spoke out on the Full House alum’s complicated divorce from her estranged husband Olivier Sarkozy — and her comments were scathing, to say the least. For starters, Williams opened the segment by praising the couple’s split, saying, “Good news for Mary-Kate Olsen — she’s getting a divorce.”
“Normally we don’t cheer for something like that,” she continued. “She had been dating this older man. He’s 50 … they were married for five years.”
“He’s so tall and she’s so short," Williams continued, before blasting their age difference. "He always looked like he was dating his daughter.”
For those who don’t know, the 33-year-old filed an emergency court order to speed up her divorce from the 50-year-old French banker, whom Mary-Kate alleged has been trying to force her out of their New York City apartment.
TMZ broke the messy split, revealing that Olivier reportedly terminated their apartment lease without her knowing and notified her via email to have her things moved out by May 18. The New York Minute actress has made attempts to request more time from Olivier but to no avail — he’s apparently been dodging her.
Court documents obtained by the outlet also indicate Mary-Kate rushed to file the urgent court order because of how the coronavirus pandemic is impacting New York, which is only accepting emergency divorce filings due to the crisis. She signed the petition on April 17 with hopes of keeping Olivier from throwing out her things, but unfortunately, her request was later denied by a Manhattan judge.
“Olivier wants her stuff out of the apartment by Monday,” Williams said mockingly. “She claims that she was just told about this, that he just let the lease run out. So in effect, I guess Mary-Kate will be homeless?”
