Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins are setting the record straight about their rumored falling out.
The White Lotus co-stars sat down for a joint interview with Variety where they finally addressed their rumored feud. Speculation surrounding their relationship off-screen has swirled after they briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram following the conclusion of season three of the hit HBO show, per People. Rumors were stoked further when both Wood and Goggins attended the 2025 Met Gala but did not pose for photos together.
According to the two actors in question, however, there is no bad blood.
"There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me," he said, going on to compare Wood's talent to other beloved actresses. "This is Goldie Hawn. This is Meg Ryan. She can do anything, and she will. You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be."
Goggins joked that he would "be on an island, I think Greece" by that time, but the Sex Education actress will be taking the world by storm, adding, "But she's special. There's no feud. She is love and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply."
Despite both Wood and Goggins re-following each other on the social media platform, some fans still wondered about the cause. Wood, however, thought the "obsessing" was "irrelevant."
"Eventually I just started to sit back and watch these people making something out of absolutely nothing," she said, wondering why they simply couldn't have conversations about the White Lotus story instead.
As for why the Justified actor unfollowed his co-star in the first place, he said it was simply part of his process of saying goodbye to their characters Rick and Chelsea, noting that he even told Wood about his need to unfollow her and she was "extremely supportive" of his choice.
"I needed to just back away from everyone," he said. "I haven't spoken to anyone. I couldn't handle it. Judge me or don't. I don't give a f--- what you think. This is my process. Rick means everything to me, and Chelsea means everything to me. And so that's what I needed to do for me to process all of this."
He continued, "It's all so ridiculous. It's just a part of me saying goodbye to this character so that now Aimee and I will be friends for f---ing ever."
