Jay Leno Not Out Of The Woods After Facial Surgery

Jay Lenoย is recovering from surgery due to second- and third-degree burns after a gasoline fire this past weekend, according to Dr.ย Peter Grossman, medical director at the Grossman Burn Center.ย

On Saturday, the comedian was working on a steam engine underneath a car in his garage when a fire began. Leno was pulled from underneath the car, but suffered "significant" burns to his face, chest and hand. While at the burn center, Leno underwent a surgical excision and grafting procedure to the burned areas. Another procedure will be needed later in the week.

Dr. Grossmanย stated that the comedian is "in good spirits today"ย andย there's no evidence of nerve damage. He added that a full recovery is expected, though, "whether there'll be remnants of this injury, it's still too early to tell. I'd say that his injuries are serious, his condition is good."

Lizzo Came Through for a Plus-Size Author Who Couldn't Find a Dress

A writer by the name ofย Aurielle Marieย was invited toย "Out"ย magazine's upcoming Out 100 Gala.ย But she's not a small girl, and she struggled to find an outfit she felt comfortable in.

ย So she reached out toย Lizzoย in a TikTok, asking if she could borrow her dress from this year'sย Emmys.

ย She said, quote, "I know you know how it feels to be the biggest [B-word] in the room and all the scrutiny and hyper-visibility that comes with that because I've watched you talk about it."

ย Well, Lizzo saw her video and DID send her a dress.ย Not the one she asked for, but a similar outfit that Lizzo wore at the 2019ย American Music Awards. . . and Aurielle was STOKED to get it.ย

ย (Profanity Warning:ย Check out theย TikTokย she posted after it arrived.)

Tennessee Attorney General Investigating Ticketmaster

The Tennessee Attorney General is opening an antitrust investigation into Ticketmaster.ย Jonathan Skrmettiย launched the investigation after thousands of customers reported issues with the site while trying to buy seats forย Taylor Swift'sย upcoming world tour.

As we told you yesterday, about the only people that won yesterday were those who got ticketsโ€ฆand posted them on reselling sites like Stubhub for as much as $35-thousand apiece. Now Skrmetti says heโ€™s concerned with the issues and is opening the investigation "to ensure that the consumer protection laws and antitrust laws in Tennessee are being honored."

โ€œAs an industry player, you would think Ticketmaster would be prepared," Skrmetti said about the pre-sale demand. โ€œBecause they have a dominant position, they may have thought they didnโ€™t need to worry about that. This could be an indicator that thereโ€™s not enough competition in the market.โ€
